Certificate Sustainable Development
The lectures offered in the General Studies Certificate on Sustainable Development deal with sustainability from a theoretical and conceptional perspective. And provide application-oriented knowledge and competencies for a sustainable development. In the lectures, students investigate, which changes of perspective are necessary in order to create good, science-based solutions for social and ecological challenges.
The Certificate sustainable development facilitates students to develop a scientific approach to sustainability issues within the scope of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UNESCO. Furthermore, lectures address the individual responsibility for developing science-based solutions for a sustainable development.
Type and scope of coursework
- Three seminars
- 8 ECTS
- Performance records: one ungraded record of attendance; two graded performance records acquired either through an oral presentation or a written essay (each 3 ECTS)
